Eight Over Eighty
Nominations Sought

Jewish Apartments and Services is seek-
ing nominations for the Eight Over
Eighty event, which will honor eight
senior adults over the age of 80 who
have made a positive impact on our
community through volunteerism,
community service and their ongoing
commitment to helping people. These
seniors will be remembered in a JAS
Senior Adult Hall of Fame.
In addition, this program raises
money for the JAS meal subsidy pro-
gram. Proceeds ensure that low-income
elderly residents will be guaranteed a
quality, kosher meal. The event will be
held Sunday, May 4, at the new Norma
Jean and Edward Meer Jewish
Apartments in West Bloomfield.
Nomination forms must be complet-
ed in full and received by Jan. 31. The
nominations will be judged by commu-
nity leaders unrelated to the nominees
and will be announced in early spring.
