FLORENCE BURROWS, 95, of
Southfield, died Jan. 19, 2003. She was an
accountant and for many years was the
treasurer for the Sinai
Guild.
Mrs. Burrows is sur-
vived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Neil
and Rowena Haas of
California; grandchil-
dren, Jeremy and Cheryl
Haas; sisters and broth-
er-in-law, Bess Krolik of
Florence
West Bloomfield and

Evelyn and Jack Schreier
of West Bloomfield. She
was the beloved wife of
the late Albert Burrows; dear sister of the
late Sam Pearlman.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Contribu-

DAVID CERN, 88, former Detroiter of
Ra'anana, Israel, died Dec. 11, 2002. He
was a heating and electrical contractor in

Detroit and worked for Israel Aircraft
Industries after settling in Israel in 1969.
Mr. Cern is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Yehuda and Rivka Cern
of Efrat, Israel; daughters and sons-in-law,
Marlene and Zvi Gitelman of Ann Arbor,
Naomi and Mayer Rubin of Ft. Meyers,
Fla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian
and Joseph Feldstein of West Bloomfield,
Roseanne and Saul Silver of Oak Park;
brother and sister-in-law, William and
Esther Cern of Oak Park; grandchildren,
Dan and Ahuva Cern, Na'aya and
Mordechai Assis, Boaz and Tova Cern,
Michael and Eshel Cern, Avigayil Cern,
Yitzhak and Jennifer Bernstein Gitelman,
Miriam and David Marks Gitelman-
Marks, Adina and Eric Berzofsky, Naftali
Rubin, Yonatan Rubin; 12 great-grand-
children. He was the beloved husband of
the late Sarah Lax Cern.
