The Jewish Women's Foundation of Metropolitan
Detroit is seeking Initial Proposals for project grants
related to Jewish women's and/or girls' issues.

adie Goren will turn 90 on
Jan. 20. She is the wife of
the late Isadore Goren. Mrs.
Goren is a past president of
United Hebrew Schools Women's
Auxiliary and of the Adat Shalom
Sisterhood. A current resident of
Menorah House in Southfield, she is a
former public and Hebrew school-
teacher. In recent years, she taught
prayer skills for the Adat Shalom
Adult Education program and
Hebrew reading skills at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.

Initial Proposals due no later than February 21; 2003.
Maximum grant size is $10,000.

LANDSMAN 90TH

1 ames Landsman of Pompano
Beach, Fla., formerly of
Southfield, celebrated his
90th birthday with a Sunday
brunch at the Beachcomber Resort in
Pompano Beach. The party was host-
ed by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr.
Gordon and Phyllis Landsman of Las
Vegas; daughter and son-in-law,
Eleanor and .Howard Barron of West
Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Jim and Leslie Landsman of
Columbia, Md. All eight grandchil-
dren and seven great-grandchildren
were there are well as friends from
across the country. Mr. Landsman was
married for more than 60 years to the
late Irene Landsman.
