Attending Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham, where she is an honor student, Rachel likes act- ing, singing, dancing and gymnas- tics. She felt the most special of her mitzvah projects was helping at the Denby Center Orphanage during its Halloween party. Bradley Louis Weiss, son of Karen and Steve Weiss, will be called to the Torsh as he becomes a bar mitzvah at Temple Israel Saturday, Jan. 11. He is the brother of Mitchell, Daniel and Eric. His proud grandpar- ents are Marilyn and Dr. Allen Weiss, Eunice and Milton Ring and Harry Korman. A student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills, Bradley has a variety of interests, including basketball, in-line hockey, snow- boarding, skateboarding, reading, history and writing. He felt volun- teering at Yad Ezra in Berkley to be his most meaningful mitzvah proj- ect. Jordan Blake Yellen will celebrate his bar mitzvah Friday, Jan. 10, at Temple Israel. He is the son of Iris and Sheldon Yellen. His brother Brandon and grandparents Lillian and Sam Fenton and Lenore Yellen will share in the simchah. He is also the grand- child of the late Seymour Yellen. Jordan is an honor student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. His after-school activities include hockey and tennis.
