D.O.C. Optic President and CEO Richard Golden has
a new song and dance. It's City Eyes, a 3,000-square-
foot store targeted for the urban, fashion conscious
consumer at the Tel-Twelve Shopping Center in
Southfield. "City Eyes has the deepest collection of
couture eyewear in the state," said Golden. His
wife, Shelley, elaborated on the concept at the
opening. "It's a jewelry store for the eyes," she said.
Jeweled eyeglasses sparkle on the counters and
in the showcase. The custom-made glasses are from
the Norma G collection, inspired by Richard's
mother, the late Norma Golden. "She is the one who
put fashion into the entire optical industry," added
Shelley.
