Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Marc David Jacobs will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Dec. 28, at Temple Emanu-
El. He is the son of
Jan Adler-Jacobs
and Laurence R.
Jacobs. Sharing in
the joy are grand-
parents Myra and
Charles Adler and
"special uncle"
Irving Panush. He
is the grandson of
the late Elsie and
Marvin Jacobs. .
Marc is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent and plays the clarinet at Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
He enjoys informal debate, sports,
biking and listening to music. At
temple, he is a board .member of
JETS and sings in the youth choir.
For his mitzvah projects, Marc sang at
senior citizen homes with the youth
choir, helped care for children during
High Holiday services and volun-
teered at the Special Olympics.
