SAJE Hosts
Jewish Educator

International Jewish educator Dr.
Daniel Gordis will kick off the
Jewish Community Center's SAJE-
Seminars for Adult Jewish
Enrichment program at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield.
Director of the Jerusalem Fellows
program and
a member of
the senior
staff of the
Mandel
Foundation
Sector on
Jewish
Education
and
Continuity,
Dr. Gordis
writes and
speaks exten-
sively on
Israeli society,
life in Israel
Rabbi Gordis
and on the
collapse of the
Oslo peace
process.
SAJE is the
adult Jewish education program
sponsored by the JCC in partnership
with local congregations and organi-
zations. Classes will run Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 11-
March 13, at both JCC locations.
Chairing SAJE are Susie Citrin
and Doris Blechman. SAJE is open
to all adults who wish to enhance
their Jewish knowledge.
Tickets for the SAJE kickoff event
with Dr. Gordis are $5 per person.
SAJE classes are $25 each or $40 for
unlimited classes. Those who pur-
chase a ticket to the kickoff event
between Jan. 6 and Feb. 5 will
receive a $5 credit toward their SAJE
2003 unlimited class registration.
SAJE is sponsored by the JCC,
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit, Detroit Jewish News, Agency
for Jewish Education and
Federation's Alliance for Jewish
Education. It is endowed by Cis
Maisel Kellman.
