Robert Naftaly
M. Butzel
Memorial Award
in 1999.
Naftaly, Federation's most recent
Butzel Award recipient, is a retired
CPA with a career that has spanned
public accounting, government serv-
ice and the health care industry. He
is past president of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit,
past chair of Federation's Alliance
for Jewish education. Naftaly also
serves as treasurer for the Anti-
Defamation League, where he chairs
the audit committee. For his efforts,
he was awarded with the Champion
of Liberty Award.
