The robotics team won for most creative robot design and for play of the day in a competition organized by Oakland Schools. Traison is a member of the Polish American- Jewish Arrierican Council and the Poland American Chamber of Commerce. Phoebe Mainster of Bloomfield Hills will receive a Distinguished Alumni Award from Wayne State University. She is a lecturer in the WSU English department and a former assistant director of compo- sition in the department. For sever- al weeks each summer for the past 32 years, she has taught English as a second language in developing nations on several continents. Mainster is active in civic endeavors and is particularly active in the Jewish community.
