Q: After sitting shiva for my mother,
we had so much food left over, it seemed
a waste to throw it away. I was told you
cannot take food from a house of shiva.
Is there an alternative?
A:
I'm often called by families asking
what to do with excess food and baskets.
I contact many area shelters that really
appreciate these donations. The family is
pleased it goes to those in need and we
consider it a wonderful mitzvah.

for Fishman Insurance Agency.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her son

Roberts of Arizona; grandchildren, Sheryl
and James Siegel, Del and Kathy Fishman;
great-grandchildren, Aleah Chana Siegel,
Jaron Arthur Siegel, Ari Isaac Siegel, Levi .

Siegel. She was the loving mother of the
late Audrey Fishman.

practice in Warren and for 25 years he
was the medical director at St. John
