The Jewish Federation of

held two fund-raising events to benefit Terri Farber Roth and Shari Kaufman.
Jewish families around the world. The
events raised $2.75 million.
The Nov. 19 Pomegranate Event, a
brunch held at the home of Rhonda
Byer of Franklin, drew 65 women,
each pledging individual gifts of
$1,800 to $5,000.
Guest speakers at the event included
Lawrence Jackier, president of
Federation; Nancy Grand, Annual
Campaign co-chair; Nancy Jacobson,
women's campaign chair; and Dr. Sabi
Shabtai, authority on Middle Eastern
affairs, Judy Verona chaired the event
with associate chair Lori Garon.

hosted guest speaker John Loftus at the
annual fund-raising meeting and
home of Doreen Heremlin.
luncheon was held at the home of
Doreen Hermelin of
Bingham Farms in

meeting, 150 women
pledged a total of $2.5
million to Federation's
Annual Campaign.
Speakers included
Penny Blumenstein,
chair of Federation's
executive steering com-
mittee; Nancy Grand
and Nancy Jacobson;
and John Loftus, a
Boston attorney and
author.
Attending the Ruby and Lion of Judah Event were Nanci
