Adam Ross Weiner (Roni Adam),
son. of Cheryl and Stewart Weiner,
will be called to read from the Torah
on the occasion of
his bar mitzvah
Saturday, Nov. 30,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. He is
the brother of Ian
and the grandson
of Marion and
Harold Weisberg
and the late Lillian
and Max Gurowitz.
Adam is a new seventh-grade stu-
dent at Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham, where he plays on the
basketball team. He is an avid
sportsman, who especially enjoys
playing baseball and football. As part
of- his mitzvah project, Adam worked
at Shaarey Zedek's Camp Betman
and volunteered at the Jewish Family
Service Fall Fixup event. He also
participated in Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit's -Dor I:Dor
program, where he developed friend-
ships with a number of seniors at the
Fleishman Residence in West
Bloomfield.

Sloane Meredith
Wolf will celebrate
her bat mitzvah on
Friday, Nov. 29, at
Temple Israel. She
is the daughter of
Elaine and
Mitchell Wolf and
sister of Evan and
Michael. Her
excited grandpar-
ents are Lillian and Irving Feldman
and Edith Wolf. She is also the
grandchild of the late Sam Wolf.
Sloane attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills, where
she is an honor student. Her after-
school activities include soccer, ten-
nis, dancing and skiing. During the
summer, she enjoys attending Camp
Tamakwa in Canada. She found vol-
unteering at Yad Ezra in Berkley to
be particularly meaningful as part of
her mitzvah project.
