He is the brother of Philip and Ryan Rolnitzky and Samantha Margolis. Justin's proud grandparents are Irene Lusky and Mary Rolnitzky. He is also the grandson of the late Benjamin Lusky and the late Pinchus Rolnitzky. He is the stepgrandson of Sharon Margolis and of Donald Ledger. Justin is an eighth-grade honor student at Walled Lake Middle School. His interests include playing on the North Farmington West Bloomfield travel baseball . team, bas- ketball, tennis, street hockey, art and computers. Among his mitzvah proj- ects, Justin volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley, with the Myasthenia Gravis Association and at Farmington Hills-based JARC. He made donations to the American Red Magan David of Israel Bear- Blanket Program and to Congregation B'nai Moshe. Michael Adam Samsky will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Temple Beth El. He is the son of Phyllis and Norman Samsky and brother of Rachel, He is the grandson of Ann Samsky, the late Morris Samsky, the late Bertha and Nathan Novograd. Michael is an eighth-grader at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham. He is an active mem- ber of the Civil Air Patrol Squadron. He loves to sing and perform, enjoys soccer and base- ball. For his mitz- vah project, Michael volunteered at the Civil Air Patrol group, doing civic duties; and he worked at a food bank. His proudest moment was when he sang a solo piece at Yom Kippur services at the temple. Jamie Alexis Solomon will become a bat mitzvah at Temple K,o1Ami on Saturday, Nov. 30. She is the daugh- ter of Andrea and Tom Solomon and sister of Michelle and Rachel. Proud grandparents are Ann and Art Solomon and Frances Rott. She is also the grand- daughter of the late Martin "Chuck" Rott. Great-grandma Mary Solomon, 100, is also extremely proud of Jamie. Jamie is an eighth-grade honor student at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield. She loves playing paintball, singing, being with friends and going to Tamarack Camps. Her mitzvah projects include volunteer- ing at the Fame Games at the Jewish Community Center, participating in It's a Mitzvah Day, volunteering at the Make a Difference Day for the Children's Center of Detroit and purchasing chickens, ducks, honey- bees, sheep and goats for the Heifer Organization, which helps end hunger and poverty in a practical way. Seth Adam Wald, son of Lisa and Richard Wald, will celebrate his bar mitzvah during Havadalah services Saturday, Nov. 30, at Temple Israel.
