Torah as b'nai mitzvah on Saturday,
Nov. 23, at Congregation Beth Ahm.

Daniel is an
eighth-grade
honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. He
enjoys playing a variety of sports.
Among his
favorites are base-
ball, lacrosse, ten-
nis, skiing and
golf. Daniel has
spent the past six
summers at
Tamarack Camps.
Erinn is a sev-
enth-grade honor
Erinn Kohn
student at Hillel.
She enjoys spend-
ing time with her friends, swim-
ming, skiing and playing softball.
She has spent many unforgettable
summers at Tamarack Camps.
Daniel and Erinn have been
involved in several meaningful mitz-
vah projects. Both have volunteered
at Yad Ezra in Berkley and at the
Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield. Daniel volunteered at
the Epstein Group Home through a
JARC-sponsored program. Erinn
spent part of last summer assisting at
Beth Ahm nursery school day camp.

David Andrew Learner, son of
Luann and Dr. James Learner and
brother of Jamie and Allison, will
celebrate his bar mitzvah Friday,
Nov. 22, at Temple Israel. His proud
grandparents are Diane Learner and
Marlin Easterday. He is also the
grandson of the late Alice Easterday,
the late David Learner and the late
Milton London.

Sophie Devorah Lester celebrated
her bat mitzvah on Saturday, Nov.
16, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. Her
proud family members are her par-
ents Marcia and MiChael Lester and
sister Molly of Farmington Hills,

Sophie is an
eighth-grade stu-
dent at Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
She enjoys playing alto saxophone
and team sports at school and
spending time with her pets. This
past summer, she worked as a coun-
selor in training at Willoway Day
Camp. Her mitzvah project included
decorating a sukkah and doing pet
therapy with residents at_Menorah
House in Southfield and volunteer-
ing at the Pitt Child Development
Center at the JCC in West
Bloomfield. She is collecting hats
and gloves for Orchards Family
Service.
