Michelle is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. She enjoys playing
in the band and dancing with a
competitive dance company. Her
mitzvah projects are ongoing and
include working at Gleaners Food
Bank in Detroit, with animal rescue,
and she helped to build a neighbor-
hood sukkah.

Marty Ceresnie will be called to the
Torah on Saturday,
Nov. 23, at
Congregation
B'nai Moshe. He
is the son of Roy
Ceresnie and the
late Beverly
Ceresnie and
brother of Lindsay.
Marty is an
honor student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake,
where he is a member of the chess
and ping-pong clubs. He enjoy
sports, playing the bass, swimming
and computers.

Hannah Bryn Graff will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 23,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. She is
the daughter of
Gary Graff and
Dr. Judith Brysk
and sister of
Joshua and
Benjamin Rocher.
Her proud grand-
parents are Milton Graff of
Pittsburgh, Pa., and Miriam and
Henry Brysk of Ann Arbor.
Hannah is an honor student at
Birmingham Covington School and
is a graduate of the accelerated pro-
gram at Beth Achim religious school
at Adat Shalom. She is a member of
her school's forensics team, and she
plays tennis and dances. Hannah's
mitzvah projects included helping to
prepare meals for the homeless,
helping to care for children at the
Adat Shalom summer day camp and
collecting donations for Yad Ezra in
Berkley.

Joshua Seth Jacobson will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 23, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek West Bloomfield,
B'nai Israel Center. Sharing in this
special time will be his parents,
Linda and Steve Jacobson, and his

three sisters, Arica,
Rachel and Marni.
Josh's proud
grandparents are
Bernice Jacobson
and Dr. Louis and
Sally Soverinsky.
He is also the
grandson of the
late Alvin
Jacobson and the late Marilyn
Soverinsky.
Josh attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake and Shaarey
Zedek religious school. He attends
Camp Ramah in Canada during the
summer. Josh has looked forward to
his weekly visits to Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield and
he will read Torah and conduct serv-
ices there. He also volunteered at
Yad Ezra in Berkley.

Joel Isaac Kestenberg, son of Ellen
and Dr. Billy Kestenberg, will
become a bar
mitzvah at
Havdalah services
Saturday, Nov. 23,
at Temple Israel.
His sisters,
Mallory and
Rachel, and grand-
parents Lois and
Dr. Leonard
Posner and
Shoshana and Henry Kestenberg will
share in the simchah.
Joel is an honor student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. His interests and hobbies
include mathematics, baseball, ten-
nis, hockey, golf and the computer.
He found working at Gleaners Food
Bank in Detroit to be his most sig-
nificant mitzvah project.

Sara Marisa Kirsch will be called to
the Torah on the occasion of her bat
mitzvah Saturday,
Nov. 23, at
Temple Israel. She
is the daughter of
Cherie Kirsch and
Alan Kirsch and
sister of Brian.
Excited grandpar-
ents are Edith
Farkas and
Carolyn and
Seymour Kirsch. She is also the
grandchild of the late Boris Farkas.
Attending Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham, where she is
on the honor roll, Sara is interested
in ballet, swimming, Tae Kwando
and spending summers at Tamarack
