adults with Alzheimer's disease and

• Be a "caring friend" to a program par-
ticipant needing one-on-one attention.
• Assist on community outings: con-
certs, museums, etc.
• Accompany staff on transport to pick
up participants or take them home.
• Share special talents such as music,
gardening, cooking, art.
• Engage in activities with participants
who are awaiting families at the end of
the program day.
• Assist program participants interested
in learning to use e-mail.
• Project Outreach Friendly Visitor —
3-4 hours, monthly. Visit isolated eld-
erly at their residences in Detroit or
assist at monthly community-sponsored
programs at local synagogues, temples.

Service Program Assistant —
Mondays or Wednesdays, 2 hour min-
imum, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Assist staff and
program participants who prepare mail-
ings for nonprofit agencies. Work may
involve distributing materials, counting,

• Activities Program Recreational Aide
— flexible schedule, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.,
weekdays. Assist with recreational
activities or community outings at the

• Adult Day Program-Work Activity
Center — 2-6 hours, 1-2 days weekly.
Work with adults who have develop-
mental disabilities in a sheltered work-
