Karmanos Cancer Institute. 'I'hey continued their
efforts this fall with their major fund-raiser. the Black
Tie Ball, held .at the Rity.-Carlton.
The ili event. honoring Lila and Gilbert
Silverman. and Karmanos Cancer Institute's Breast
Cancer Program, featured glitzy silent and live
:met- ions, dinner and dancim , to the Nlotown sound
of I lori/on. Roses in varying shades of pink centered
the candlelit tables.
.I'his year's Black 'Fie Ball co-chairs, Jill Bamholti.-
Sloan and Susie Schechter. made stunning - partners -
in midnight blue and burgundy gowns. The Silverman
women. dressed in silver. black and red, also were a
orgeous contingent.
