Twelve women, all members of
Congregation Beth Shalom, will culmi-
nate their months of study at an adult
b'not mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The. group includes two sets of rela-
tives, Elaine Lavetter and Alicia Lavetter,
mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and
mother and daughter, Minnie Schiff-
man and Jeannine Davidson.
Two members of the synagogue staff
are also participants in the program:
Mara Staller Starr, the congregation's

office manager, and Lana Sherman,
administrative assistant.
Completing the group are Esther
Davidow, Johnie Galens, Sheilah
Goldberg, Sandy Hodess, Nubia Pelaez
and Jennifer Zack.
All of the participants will read parts
of the Haftorah, while some of the class
members will also read from the Torah
portion. The women will sponsor an
extended kiddush luncheon following
services.
