James Howard Brody Ross will cel-

ebrate his bar mitzvah on Friday,
Nov. 8, at Temple
Shir Shalom. He is
the son of Alice
Brody and Ron
Ross and brother
of Adam. He is
the grandson of
Susan and David
Brody, Eve Arno,
the late Harvey
Ross and the late Sidney Arno.
James is an honor student at
Cranbrook Kingswood Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. He
enjoys playing the bassoon, playing
tennis, reading and swimming. His
mitzvah projects included helping
with the Purim Parcel Project and
volunteering as a teen instructor for
the Birmingham-Bloomfield Safety
Town- program.

Dana Anna Schostak will become a

bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom
Synagogue Saturday, Nov. 9. She is
the daughter of Elise and David
Schostak and the
sister of Jacob and
the late Jayne
Schostak. Proud
grandparents are
Harvey and
Evelyn Goldsmith,
Jerome and Elyse
Schostak and
Asher and Arlene
Tilchin.
Dana is a seventh-grade honor
student at Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She loves being with her
friends at home and at Camp
Tanuga in Kalkaska and playing soc-
cer and basketball. Her mitzvah
projects included working at Adat
Shalom with the homeless and vol-
unteering at Fleischman Residence
in West Bloomfield.
