ETHEL FEINSTEIN LEVY, 91, former Detroiter of Gainesville, Fla., died Sept. 28. She attended Highland Park High School and Wayne Sate University. Mrs. Levy was a past president of the Maimonides Medical Auxiliary, Hadassah and B'nai B'rith Pisgah Chapter. She also was a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue. In recogni- tion of her community service as president of the Roundtable of Christians and Jews, Mrs. Levy was presented with the Heart of Gold award by the mayor of Detroit. She enjoyed creating stories for children, and her tales of Mark Sirhosa served children as an impor- tant vehicle for building positive self-image. In Gainesville, she and her hus- band were members of Congregation B'nai Israel and were active members of the Jewish community. Mrs. Levy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Roslyn Levy of Gainesville; daugh- ter, Rhoda Sue Levy of Woodenville, Wash.; grandchildren, Deborah and Steven of New York City, David of Boston, Kenneth and Melanie Warfield Levy of Washington, D.C., Colin and Heather Mellen Derieg of Carnation, Wash.; great-grandchil- dren, Cassidy Rae Derieg, Maxwell Robert Levy. BRYON HARRIS LLOYD, 82, for- mer Detroiter of Tucson, Ariz., died Oct. 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Marian Ruth; son, David B. Lloyd of Los Angeles; daughter, Elsa K. This announcement was placed at the request of the family by Hebrew - Memorial Chapel. . MYNN (MILLMAN) LOWE, 90, former Detroiter of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Oct. 24. She came to Detroit at age 8 from Belarus. She graduated from Northern High School and later became an execu- tive secretary for Allen Industries. In 1936, she mar- ried Dr. Adolf W. Lowe and helped him set up a medical practice in Detroit. They were founding members of Temple Israel. During World War II, Mrs. Mynn Lowe Lowe traveled with her husband through 15 different stations in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning to Detroit, she became a worker. for B'nai B'rith and Hadassah, serving for many years as president of the Detroit chapter. Later, when living in Florida, she worked with Women's American ORT and became president of the Pompano Beach Chapter of ORT for 10 years. Mrs. Lowe single handedly took it on herself to aid friends and neigh- bors, who had no means of trans- port, to drive them to dinners, the- ater and symphony performances. Her house was open every Friday night for neighbors and friends to attend a homemade Shabbat dinner. Until recent years, when illness prevented it, Mrs. Lowe remembered family members to the third genera- tion with cards, checks and gifts for
