• Goldberg Thanksgiving Basket
Distribution — Monday, Nov. 25,
noon-5 p.m. Assist with packing food
into boxes and delivering them to
clients. Yad Ezra Food Bank, Berkley.
• Mentors — 2-4 hours weekly. Reach
out to a boy or girl who could benefit
from a special friendship with a caring
adult. Offer valuable companionship
and support by providing a young per-
son with one-on-one attention and
guidance.
• Friendly Visitors — 1 hour weekly or
bimonthly Offer companionship and
support to an older adult; accompany
them to the market, show or an event at
the synagogue.
• AGJAM (Advisory Group to Jewish
Agency Management)— flexible time
commitment. Qualified Jewish retirees
have been assembled into a volunteer
corps of executives and professionals
whose mission is to provide pro-bono
consultation -upon request to the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, its
member agencies, or to other Jewish
communal organizations, schools, syna-
gogues, etc.
• Hospice Volunteers — 12 hour train-
ing in January. Compassionate and
friendly volunteers to visit with and pro-
vide support for chronically and termi-
nally ill individuals and their families.
• Administrative Volunteers — Provide
services in transportation and meals-on-
wheels offices, Elderlink and Federation
Resource Lines.
