The evening will include an auction, dinner and performance by Danny Marona, comedian, pianist and singer. The master of ceremonies will be Murray Feldman of FOX 2 News. This year's honorees will be Marcia and Eugene Applebaum of Bloomfield Hills, co-founders of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center at Henry Ford Hospital. The center is named for the late David Hermelin, former U.S. ambassador from Bingham Farms who was treated at Henry Ford for brain cancer. Over the past nine years, money raised has been used to support research and treatment at Henry Ford for neuro- logical diseases including brain tumors, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, spine disorders and trauma to the brain or spinal cord. The Hermelin Brain Tumor Center focuses on brain and spine tumors and is considered one of the largest neuro- oncology centers in the nation. It also houses one of the most comprehensive brain tumor research labs in the country. Shoot for a Cure honorary chairs are Pam -and Dr. Mark Rosenblum of West Bloomfield; event co-chairs are Joe and Rosalie Vicari of Clinton Township. Dr. Rosenblum is chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Henry Ford Hospital and co-director of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center.
