Gilda Jacobs

Democrat for State Senate

She's always made us proud.

As Development Director for JARC — The Jewish
Association for Residential Care, one of Michigan's
most successful charities. As City Commissioner,
County Commissioner, then State Representative.

The Jacobs Amendment restored millions of
dollars to the public school system that had been
unfairly given to
charter schools.
Her law gave
Michigan the
authority to force
convicted terror-
ists to compensate
their victims, and
pay for prosecu-
tion costs as wells Her resolution put the Michigan
House on record against discrimination and bigotry in
the wake of September MIL

Gilda Jacobs is Democratic Floor Leader of
the House of Representatives, the highest ranking
woman ever to serve in the Michigan House in all its
166-year history.

The Jacobs
family are longtime
members of Oak
Park's Temple
Emanu-El. Gilda is a
former Board Mem-
ber of the Women's
Division of the Jewish Federation, a member of the
JARC board, and the board of the Anti-Defamation
League. She was named "Woman of the Year" by the
Na'Amat Greater Detroit Council just this year.

For all these reasons, Gilda Jacobs has made us
proud. And for all these reasons, she's earned our
vote this Tuesday. Gilda Jacobs, Democrat, for
State Senate.
