someday being in business together
was pretty far-fetched.
Mort Meisner was TV-2's news direc-
tor ... and after leaving the station sever-
al weeks later, had lunch with Steve
Mitchell at Morels ... Mort was com-
mitted to writing his book, Complete

Prepamtion for Television, Radio and
Print Interviews, and had decided to
become an agent for TV and radio tal-
ent ... plus going into the marketing
and public relations field ... which he
entered as Mort Meisner Associates.
Steve departed TV-2 shortly after
Mort left ... and became head of
Mitchell Research and
Communications.
After recently joining forces, their
new company is Meisner-Mitchell
Communications.
With them are their talented wives
... Leslie Magnas,.Mort's frau, is a
very-much praised award-winning
graphic designer ... Suzie Mitchell is a
former Observer-Eccentric Newspapers
reporter and former director of public
information for Oakland County.
They are also continuing their own
companies ... Plus handling on-air tal-
ent, Mort is also involved with profes-
sional baseball players ... Steve will
continue his political market research
work as a highly touted pollster.
Their new company also does crisis
management, media training, public
relations, marketing and advertising.
What began as wishful thinking of
someday getting together ... is today a
happy reality.
