Winter Break Fun
The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will offer several
winter break camps for children at
both locations.
The Wacky Winter Camp, which
runs Dec. 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, 31 and
Jan. 2 and 3 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
will include sports, games, in-line skat-
ing, arts, crafts and a special field trip
on Dec. 26. Children in grades K-5
may sign up for any or all days. The
per day fee is $35 for JCC members
and $50 for non-members. Those
signing up for five or more days will
receive a 10 percent discount.
For preschool children, the Sarah
and Irving Pitt Child Development
Center will offer play days on Dec. 23,
24, 26, 27-, 30, 31 and Jan. 2 and 3
from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Children age
2 1 /2 to 4t/2 and toilet trained are elicr i-
ble. The per-day fee is $41 for JCC °
members and $56 for non-members.
This fee includes lunch and two
snacks. Each day will include swim-
ming, gym time, craft or science proj-
ects, computer time, snack, lunch and
a rest period.
Extended care for the Wacky Winter
Camp and Pitt CDC Play Days is
available from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at $8.
Morning care for the Wacky Winter
Camp is $5 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and
for Pitt CDC Play Days $6 from 7 to
9 a.m.
The InLine Hockey Center will
offer three clinics this winter on Dec.
23, 26 and 27. A beginner skills clinic
will be 940:30 a.m. for children ages
5-9. An intermediate skills clinic for
children 10 and older will run 10:30
a.m. to noon. A goalie skills clinic will
be held for children 7 and older on
Dec. 23, 26 and 27.
All IHC clinics are $59 for JCC
members and $79 for non-members.
The JCC will hold a New Year's Eve
sleepover at the Kahn Building from 7
p.m. Dec. 31 to 10 a.m. Jan. 1.
Sports, games, swimming, in-line skat-
ing, crafts, music, watching the ball
drop, a pizza dinner and a bagel break-
fast will be offered to children in
grades 2-5 in a supervised setting. The
fee is $75 for JCC members and $95
for non-members.
The deadline for all camps is Dec.
16. The deadline for the New Year's
Eve sleepover is Dec. 24.
