Many of them are happening on Israeli college campuses, including those with strong ties to Detroit, such as Bar-Ilan University near Tel Aviv and Technion- Israel Institute of Technology Sharon Luckerman in Haifa. But there's a growing revolu- tion going on in the Negev desert, home_to Ben-Gurion University in Beersheva. There, visionary President Avishay Braverman is renewing David Ben-Gurion's dream to make the desert bloom — only Braverman is relying on educa- tion, technology and chutzpah.
