N
bat mitzvah. "She was thrilled, and the dress
just made her feel so good about herself."
After going through a "nightmare" with
another dress, Marci decided that she and her
daughter would have their gowns custom-
made.
For services Kayla wore a suit at the syna-
gogue. Marci knew she wanted something
youthful looking for her daughter, but she
had no specific ideas as far as the party dress
was concerned. When Marci took a picture of
Halle Berry's dress for the Academy Awards
to Marsha, she expected something similar,
but had no idea that it would be possible to
duplicate it perfectly, down to the exact fabric
and color. Poshadlo created designs the
Canvassers were delighted with because the
party dresses for mother and daughter corn-
plemented each other.
Describing what is unique about a custom-
made, special-occasion dress, Haberman says,
"It gives you the opportunity to have precise-
ly what you want. You can have something
that fits perfectly, in a style and color that is
right for you. Not only that but you have
good, superb construction which is made to
last."
