U.S. Must Focus
On Finding Killers

Glad To Hear
Move Went Well

In your last issue, the Anti-
Defamation League's national execu-
tive director, Abraham Foxman,
unfairly criticized the Koby Mandell
Act, a bill to create a U.S. govern-
ment office to focus on capturing
Palestinian Arab terrorists who have
harmed American citizens ("Shoot
From The Lip," Sept. 27, page 22).
Foxman claimed that "it would be
a real mistake to set up separate
offices to deal with different groups
of victims. We shouldn't be dividing
victims."
The problem is that the State
Department has already divided
them: cases in which Americans were
murdered by Palestinian Arabs are
ignored — while in cases in which
Americans were murdered by terror-
ists elsewhere overseas, the State

I was delighted to read that the
Farmington Hills Inn staff and
Home and Aging Services and its
chaplaincy program are working
together to accommodate former Elan
Village residents at their new home
("Adding Jewish Flavor," Sept. 20,
page 34).
I visit Farmington Hills Inn resident
Sarabel Panter, a former Elan Villager,
on a regular basis and she is always
telling me how she is enjoying her
new home. The credit goes to the car-
ing Farmington Hills Inn staff.
As well, I would like to commend
Rabbi Dovid Polter and Shirley Jarcaig
from JHAS on the terrific work they
are doing for these new residents like
Sarabel, by implanting more of a
Jewish presence into the Farmington
Hills Inn community.
