Super Sunday Appeal
To Open Campaign

Super Sunday, the traditional launch of
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit's Annual Campaign, is Sunday,
Oct. 20.
Volunteers will convene to make
phone calls, seeking financial support for
health, educational, social and cultural
services in metro Detroit and overseas.
"Now is the time our community
needs your help more than ever," said
Carol Kaczander of the Federation
Campaign Department.
Explaining this year's situation, she
said, "Our brothers and sisters in Israel
are living on the frontline of the war on
terrorism and in the midst of economic
disaster. Our family in Detroit, our chil-
dren and parents, our neighbors and
friends, all are more urgently asking for
our help."
Super Sunday 2003 will take place in
two locations: the Max M. Fisher
Federation Building, 6735 Telegraph
Road in Bloomfield Township and the
Jewish Community Center in Oak Park.
Super Sunday 2003 is a Federation
community event in partnership with
DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund.
Volunteers are asked to sign up for
their choice of two shifts: 9:30-11:45
a.m. or 11:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Parents are
encouraged to bring their children; there
will be special activities, arts and crafts
for ages 2 and up. Volunteers from
Federation's Young Adult Division
(YAD) will be headquartered at the JCC
in Oak Park.
