I Exceptional Senior Living means an exceptional lifestyle IRP Members Plan Anniversary Six couples, all members of the Jewish Community Center's Institute for Retired Professionals, are planning a joint 50th anniversary celebration. All six ,couples will have celebrated their 50th anniversaries in the past two years. The celebrants are: Burt and Phyllis Applebaum, Allen and Jean Gavern and Al and Marilyn Luebeck, all of West Bloomfield; John and Berta Gardon of Bloomfield Hills; Bert and Sylvia Harris of Southfield and Jack and Gloria Hurwitz of Farmington Hills. The couples and members of IRP will gather Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Laurel Woods Apartments clubhouse in Southfield for the celebration. The after- noon will include music from the 1950s, a photo contest using the wed- ding photos of the celebrants and refreshments. According to Marilyn Luebeck, the couples have been socializing since they met at IRP. They have traveled together. The IRP was formed in 1985 for retired and semi-retired individuals interested in continued learning. More than 350 members participate in discus- sion groups, committees, trips and lunch-and-learns.
