Cancer Center at St. John's Hospital,
Detroit.
The benefit will be at Joe Vicari's
Andiamo Italia Banquet Center ... next
door to his dining spot on E. 14 Mile
in Warren ... Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Served will be the original Joe Muer's
traditional lobster dinner ... complete
with relish tray, white beans, pumper-
nickel bread, Boston clam chowder,
corn on the cob, one-pound steamed
Maine lobster, drawn butter and dessert.
Entertainment will be by the Four
Freshmen ... plus Johnny Trudell's
tribute to the Stan Kenton Band.
Art objects and oil paintings from
Joe Muer's restaurant on Gratiot will
be sold in a silent auction ... The for- •
mer Detroit restaurant was famous for
seafood — second to none in this part
of the country.
Tickets are $125 ... cocktails at 6,
dinner at 7, entertainment at 8 ... To

ON ANOTHER DATE, Monday,
Oct. 7, Troy Palm restaurant on Crooks
will have its first annual Men's Event to
benefit research on prostrate cancer.
Five-course dinner will follow a 6
p.m. cocktail session ... Door prizes
include Red Wings memorabilia, the-
ater tickets, autographed basketball
and football, golf package, etc.
Everyone will also get a Palm gift
certificate.
Troy Palm's ticket price is $500 ...
but $375 of it is tax-deductible. Call
