ryeh Pamensky is a man on a
mission — to help eradicate
divorce in North America.
He devised the Arriazing
Marriage Seminar while sitting around
his own dining table two years ago in
Toronto. So far, he's taken it to more
than 1,000 people and eight cities,
including Detroit.
On Sept. 12, Pamensky presented
his entertaining yet compellingly prac-
tical advice to a packed house at the
Jewish Ensemble Theatre auditorium
at the Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield. The event was spon-
sored by the Aish HaTorah, which has
a center in Birmingham.
The crowd of mostly longtime mar-
ried couples bantered with Pamensky,
who made common-sense assertions that
men and women are very different and

.

have very different jobs in a marriage.
When he went beyond that to give
hands-on advice for each spouse's job,
the interaction grew and heads started
nodding in agreement at his suggestions.
Pamensky, 37, and his wife have six
children. He said his "Amazing
Marriage" suggestions work in his own
life, and he urged those in the audi-
ence to try his principles and then e-
mail him the results. His Web site
wwvv.amazingmarriage.corn includes
testimonials from people who have
heard him speak or have taken his
eight-week seminar.
Aish HaTorah will bring him back
for an evening with under-40s singles
in November. For information, call
(248) 593-5138.
