Janet Kelman, Judy Greenwald and G. Michael Molnar Three stained-glass windows crafted by local artists will be dedicated in a ceremony at Temple Emanu-El in Oak Park on Friday, Sept. 13. The group of windows represent shalom (peace), chamishim (50) for the temple's 50th anniversary, and tzedakah (charity and righteousness). Artists Janet Kelman, whose studiO is in Royal Oak, and G. Michael Molnar, owner of Aurora Glass in Ortonville, used the tem- ple's Torah covers as models. The three-window set is the third in a series, said Judy Greenwald, of Royal Oak, who chairs the temple's arts and decor committee. The first three windows were done in 2000 as part of the donor recognition for the temple's fund-raising effort, "The Fund for Life," she said. "They were so gorgeous and so wonderful that we decided to continue until all the windows are filled." • Do weight problems run in your family?
