La Shish has a total of nine restaurants
throughout metro Detroit, with plans to add
more. It has recently expanded its menu to
include delicacies like grilled cornish hen
and hommous with salmon or whitefish. It
also offers live evening entertainment
featuring authentic Middle Eastern music.

The Sheik originally opened in downtown
Detroit in 1929 by Fred Ganaham and later
was run by his two daughters. The West
Bloomfield location opened in 1997. Well-
known local chef Rudy Rammal has run the
kitchen since 1996. The Sheik offers a
complete catering service both on-site and
off.
