He was a surgeon and general practice physician who graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1938. He was also very involved in cancer research, a visiting professor at Wayne State University for medical research, was the author of Power of Self Knowledge and had numerous research articles published world wide. Dr. White was a nationally ranked squash player and one of the founders of North Detroit General Hospital, where he served as chair- man of the board of trustees from 1981-1982. He was a fellow of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons as well as a member of the Wayne County Medical Society, Michigan Medical Society and the American. Medical Society. He is survived by his wife, Rita White; son, Dr. Kenneth Goldman of West Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Bruce Abramson of Commerce Township; grandchildren, Andrew and Melanie Goldman, Tia Abramson; sister, Adeline Daien of Oak Park and sis- ter-in-law, Shirley White.
