Hi. I'm Mark Dizik, This is NAPA Marketplace. I EAT from page 155 we found the restaurant bustling. Our first impression was the striking decor as we entered from the JCC's main hall. Tables were set with small bud vases filled with fresh orange roses and the bar, dividing the front and back of the main dining room, was chic. Everything we ordered was fresh and well presented. The signature Milk & Honey salad paired roasted Bosc pear and grilled red onion with the more commonly found pine nuts and dried cherries. The soup selection offered a parve lemon rice, a heartier cream of potato and a light, delicious carrot and ginger bisque. We particularly enjoyed the faux (ersatz) chicken fajita pizza served with homemade salsa and gua- have a terrific selection of wines and gourmet gifts from Napa Valley. Not another party store ... ... a unique wine experience. camole. We ran into Rabbi Joseph Krakoff of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and jeweler Howard Tapper leaving as we arrived, and they raved about the whitefish burger served on an onion roll with a small side of coleslaw.. We found it tasted a little too sweet from the carrots and a lot like gefilte fish. There's a nice selec- tion of carryout sandwiches and sal- ads, and catering is available. The homemade desserts and famous Sourdough Bakery breads also can be ordered in advance. A back room opens to seat more than 100 people and would make a nice venue for a bridal shower, engage- ment or anniversary party. ❑ — 'liana Greenberg, food section contributor NAPA Marketplace Fine Wine • Gourmet Gifts • Specialty Coffee • Spirits 3290 Pontiac Trail, Just west of Haggerty, across the street from WAL•MART (248) 668-9344 652570 One of Milk & Honey o West Bloomfield's wonderful soups would like to wish all of our friends and customers a very happy and healthy New Year.
