In 1944, he was among the troops that liberated Paris. He was awarded the . Good Conduct Medal, the European Theater Presidential Citation for the compa- ny with five battle stars,'a bronze star company medal, arrowhead for invasion and a Victory Medal; he was also awarded a Victory Medal by the French government. Mr. Krowitz was a Jewish War Veteran, a member of the Volunteer Parking'Enforce- ment Agency in Farmington Hills, a member of B'nai B'rith and he vol- unteered at nursing homes and vari- ous public services agencies. Mr. Krowitz is survived by his wife, Gussie; daughters and sons-in- law, Ellen and Alan Matlen of West Bloomfield, Karen and Dr. Philip D. Cohen of West Bloomfield; grand- children, Marc and Scott Matlen, Adam and Lisa Cohen; brother, Morris; sister, Kathryn.
