Allan Gilmour
Gilmour joined
Ford Motor Co. in
1960 as a finance
staff financial analyst and later was
supervisor of financial presentations. He
was assistant to the executive vice presi-
dent of finance before joining Ford
Motor Credit Co. as executive vice pres-
ident of administration. He returned to
Ford from retirement in May 2002.
The lecture is free. JCC Board
Member Debbie Levin is chairing the
Gilmour lecture.
The event is the first of a three-part
series hosted by MJAC's ECHO
Program (Educating the Community
About Homosexuality Through
Outreach), titled "Being Out: In the
Workplace, in School and at Home."
Honorary chairs are Arthur and Gina
Horwitz. Event chairman is Dr. Don
Spivak.

Court Appointed Special Advocates
(CASA) is seeking volunteers to work as
advocates for children.
Working in pairs, CASAs assist the
Family Court of Oakland County in
making decisions as to the appropriate-
ness of legal guardianship placements.
The leadership and training is provid-
ed by the National Council of Jewish
Women, Greater Detroit Section.
The next training session for new
CASAs will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday,
Sept. 26, and Friday, Sept. 27, at the
NCJW office, 26400 Lahser Road,
Suite 100, Southfield.
