b'not mitzvah when called to the Torah
on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Congregation
Beth Shalom; they will conclude their
celebration with a
trip to Israel. They
are twin daughters
of Sherry and
Geoffrey Orbach
and Jean Pierre of
Natanya, Israel.

are siblings of Eric,
Sophie and Rachel
and are granddaugh- Lauren Walsh
ters of Judy and
Henry, Denise and
Jacque.
The girls are
entering the eight
grade at Norup
Middle School in
Oak Park, where
they are honor stu-
dents. Their inter-

ing cultural events,
dance, singing, volleyball, tennis and the
trampoline. They enjoy visiting senior
citizens at the Coville Apartments in
Southfield and helping at Yad Ezra in
Berkley.
Samantha Linsey Warsh read from the
Torah on the occasion of her bat mitz-
vah on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Congrega-
tion Beth Ahm. She
is the daughter of
Dana and Dr.
David Warsh and
younger sister of
Ryan Warsh. Proud
grandparents are
Leo and Shirley
Kaplan of
Farmington Hills.
She is also the
granddaughter of the late Sam and
Frances Warsh. Samantha is named in
loving memory of her maternal great-
grandmother Sophie Kaplan Moss and
great-aunt Florence Olk.
Samantha is an honor student at
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills. Of her many interests, she espe-
cially enjoys gymnastics, swimming,
music, art, spending time with friends
and summer breaks at Tamarack
Camps. Her mitzvah projects included
working with a young child with special
needs through the Friendship Circle
and volunteering as a teacher's aide with
second-grade children at Temple Shir
Shalom religious school.
