granddaughter of the late Kenneth
Emerling.
Rachelle is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
She enjoys softball and volleyball.
Volunteering when Temple Israel
housed the homeless was her most
meaningful mitzvah project.

when the synagogue housed the
homeless, assisted at the synagogue's
Mitzvah Day at Elan Village in
Southfield and helped at the Oakland
County Master Games for seniors.

the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Aug. 24,
at Congregation
B'nai Moshe. She is
the daughter of
Alan and Ruth
Hurvitz and sister
of Steven and
Daniel Hurvitz.

Indenbaum and
Rae Hurvitz are her
proud grandparents. Leah is also the
granddaughter of the late Shirley
Indenbaum, the late Sylvia

Leah is an honor student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. Her interests include sports,
dance and music. She plays oboe in
the school band and is on the basket-
ball and softball teams. Her most
rewarding mitzvah projects include
volunteering at a day camp at Lone
Pine Elementary School and at various
B'nai Moshe youth programs.

on Friday, Aug. 23, at Temple Emanu-
El. He is the son of Susan and Bruce
