Fribush of Bethesda and Judy
Rudolph of Rockville, Md. Proud
great-grandmothers are Mathilda
Weintraub of Hollywood, Fla., and
Ruth Pilzer of Jacksonville, Fla. Stacy
is - named in loving memory of her
paternal great-grandfather Sam
Rudolph and her maternal great-
grandfather William Ehrlich.

Feb. 12
Dana (Kutinsky) and Robert Gelick of
Evanston, Ill. welcome with love
the birth of their son, Ross Ethan
(Moshe Etan). Joyfully welcoming
their first grandson are Lesley and Jay
Kutinsky of Farmington Hills and
Eileen and Michael Gelick of
Evanston. Also sharing in their happi-
ness are great-grandparents Irene and
Alvin Goodman and Gertrude
Grossman, all of Chicago. Ross is
named in loving memory of his great-
grandfathers Morris Kutinsky and
Milton Grossman.

Bar/Bat !Mitzvah

Marissa Lauren Bernstein, daughter
of Debbie and Dr. Mark Bernstein,
will celebrate her
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Aug. 24,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Her
brothers Brian and
Eric will share in
the ceremony- along
with her grandpar-
ents Helen and
Irving Bernstein
and Haiold and Etty Kohn. Marissa is
also the granddaughter of the late
Roslyn Kohn.
Marissa is an honor student at
Walled Lake Middle School. She
enjoys dance, music, computers and
summers at Tamarack Camps. She
especially enjoyed following in her
grandparents' footsteps by volunteer-
ing at Yad Ezra in Berkley.

Michael Ross Boren will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 24, at
Temple Kol Ami. He is the son of
Dennis and Karen Boren, brother of
Josh and grandson of Bernard and
Harriet Boren, Manfred and Ruth

Lehman and the
late Rose Lehman.
Michael is a stu-
dent at Orchard
Lake Middle
School in West
Bloomfield. He
plays travel soccer
and was on the
middle school bas-
ketball team. His other interests
include tennis and the computer. His
mitzvah projects included raising
money for the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society, helping out before
and during fund-raising events for
ALYN Children's Rehabilitation
Hospital and volunteering at Yad Ezra
in Berkley.

Max Jordan Cantor will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, Aug. 24, at
Havdalah services.
He is the son of
Karen and Jeffrey
Cantor and the
brother of Rachel,
Steven and Zachary.
Sharing in the sim-
chah will be proud
grandparents
Charlotte and Dr.
Saul Rosner and Rhoda Cantor. He is
also the grandson of the late Harvey
Cantor.
Max attends Abbott Middle School
in West Bloomfield, where he is an
honor student. Playing the cello, video
games, the computer and boxing are
among the activities that he enjoys.
Because of his love for animals, he
chose to donate funds to the ASPCA
as one of his mitzvah projects. He also
visited seniors a the Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield with his
dog, Tillie.
