of performances at DTE Energy Music Theatre.

Jewish Roots

Behind his rock star image, Lee has
always remained mindful of his Jewish
roots, because both of his parents were
among the Polish Jews imprisoned at
Auschwitz during the Holocaust.
Lee's mother had been born in
Starachowice in the Radom District of
east central Poland, the site of a Jewish
slave labor factory.
Lee has recalled that his parents
