Bar/Bat Mitzvah

for his celebration.

Ashley Paige Gordon will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom Synagogue
on Saturday, Aug. 10. She is the daugh-
ter of Sheldon and Andrea Gordon, sis-
ter of Jacquelyn, Geoffrey and Allison
and granddaughter of George and
Pauline Norman. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Jack and Lillian
Gordon.
Ashley is an honor student at Birney

Middle School in
Southfield. Her
after-school activities
include Hebrew
school, dancing,
writing stories and
poetry and reading.
She enjoys outdoor
activities, such as in-
line skating and bik-
ing. She has earned superior ratings on
piano at festivals and competitions for
three years.
Among her mitzvah projects, Ashley
helps out at the Coalition On
Temporary Shelter in Detroit. She also
donated 14 inches of her hair to Locks
of Love.

their children Meredith Allan and
Jeremy Chupack.
The couple met at West Bloomfield
High School and both graduated from
Michigan State University.
They now live in San Francisco,
where Jeremy is an accounting manager
with Martin Building Company and
Meredith recently graduated from the
Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising.
. A September wedding is planned at
the Dearborn Inn.

Kari received her bachelor of arts

and is teaching at Greenwood Lakes
Middle School in Lake Mary, Fla.
Kevin received his bachelor of arts
degree from the University of Pittsburgh
and his juris doctor from Emory Law
School in Atlanta. He practices law with
Graham, Builder, Jones, Pratt and
Marks LLP in Winter Park, Fla.
After an October 2002 wedding, they
will reside in Winter Springs, Fla.
