Krista Husa Page design, Alex Lumelsky How To Reach Us: Cover Story Bombing Aftermath page 88 I t has been 10 days since the bombing at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The blast in the popular Mt. Scopus campus cafeteria took seven lives — including five Americans — injured more than 80 and removed what had been an oasis in a desert of tragedy. In our coverage today, which begins on page 20, the reali- ty of the situation in the Middle East hits too close to home for Detroiters who are alumni of Hebrew University, have family attending school there, or knew some of the victims. Their riveting accounts about the humanity of the students and the centrality of the Hebrew University experience to their lives is only heightened in our Insight piece on page 27. There, one of the victms, in an article written just a month before her death, poignantly summarizes her hopes, her dreams, her hap- piness and her fears while attending Hebrew University. Marla Bennett's account mirrors our own hopes and dreams. It is something you must read.
