The National Bone Marrow Transplant Link, a Michigan based nonprofit
organization, produced a video that earned an EMMY award. "The New
Naormal: Lift After Bone Marrow-Stern Cell Transplant" won for outstanding
achievement in the field of single topic program. It received underwriting from
the General Motors Corp. and production by Sue Marx Films Inc.,
Birmingham. Shown at the awards ceremony are Char DeWolf of Sue Marx
Films, Myra Jacobs of nbmtLink, Charles Babcock of General Motors, Sue
Marx and Pat Steele of the U-M Cancer Center.

Relief On Wheels

A filly equipped mobile intensive cardiac care unit ambulance was donated to Israel
in loving memory of Zoltan Lugosi and Mariska, Ignatz and Martha Karp by
Gabriella and Alexander Karp of West Bloomfield. An ARMDI Maimonides Award
was presented to the Kaips for their generosity by Dr. Lawrence Newman, a member
of the Medical-Dental Council of the Dr. John I Mames Chapter Michigan Region,
American Red Magen Davidfor Israel. Shown are Dr. Lawrence Newman,
Alexander and Gag Karp, Borbala Lugosi and Gabriella Karp.
