B'nai B'rith Golf Classic

The Great Lakes Region of B'nai
B'rith held its 20th annual golf
classic at the Wabeek Country
Club on June 17. Proceeds pro-
vide major support for the
Michigan Region of B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization and the
B'nai B'rith Great Lakes Region
as well as Hillel Foundation.
Michael Fishman and Ronald
Bittker were chairmen of this
year's event. Fishman served as
auctioneer of sports memorabilia.
The Rosenfeld Group was the
2002 Silver Sponsor. The first-

place team included Walter
Quillico, Ben Hubert, Howard
Eisenshtadt and Darryl Kaplan.
This year's golf outing honored
the memory of Irving Pitt, whose
family has provided support for
the Great Lakes Region of B'nai
B'rith. While proceeds are not yet
finalized, previous years raised
$10,000 for Michigan Region
BBYO.

Shown at the golf classic are Irving Siegel of Bingham Farms, general
chair, and Fran White of Walled Lake, regional coordinator for Great
Lakes Region of gnai grith.

the Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a
deli-style picnic for patients at the
Battle Creek VA medical facility on
Sunday, July 21.

Scouts Perform
In Ann Arbor

The Friendship Caravan, a group of
Israeli boys and girls, will perform
at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the
Jewish Community Center of
Washtenaw County, 2935 Birch
Hollow Drive, Ann Arbor.
The JCC will provide an outdoor
kosher barbecue at 6 p.m. followed
by the scouts' performance at 7. The
program is free for Camp Raanana
and Early Childhood Center par-
ents. Cost for a non-participant is
$2, with a maximum of $10 per
family.
