Locally Brewed Beer by the Detroit
Free Press.
The chain began in Gaylord (May
1995) ... Then came site No. 2 in
Grand Rapids (March 1997) ...
Auburn Hills opened August 1997 ...
and then the first one out of Michigan
... with Grapevine, near Dallas, Texas,
opening in August 2000.
In Auburn Hills, hours are Monday
to Thursday, 11-11 p.m.; Friday, 11
a.m.-midnight; Saturday, noon-mid-
night; Sunday, noon-9 p.m.
The brewery, bar and restaurant in
Auburn Hills take in about 15,700 square
feet ... with a seating capacity of 650 ... It
is the largest of Rolinski's four operations
... Gaylord seats 420; Grand Rapids, 250;
and Grapevine inTexas, 500.
This might be one of the fastest-
growing small chains in America ...
Four Big Buck Brewery & Steakhouse
units within seven years is with reason
... Considering their food, lavishness_
and elegant settings ... all have become
firmly established as definite destina-
tion operations.
IF YOU'VE EVER wondered where
many Chinese people go when they
want Chinese food, try sitting some-
time at Shangri-La in West
Bloomfield's Orchard Mall.
Regulars are there daily ... and many
Chinese restaurateurs make Shangri-La
a must after their own closing hours.
Other restaurant owners ... like Gary
and Joannie Adell Tringale ... soon to
open Tringale's New York Pizzeria and
Deli are steady customers, too ... along
with the Chins of Mon Jin Lau, who
love the daytime dim sum at Shangri-
La ... Favorites of Gary and Joannie
are the ginger and onion lobster stir-
fried with garlic and served over soft
Cantonese noodles .. and the luscious
shrimp with walnuts and broccoli.

sold his 70-year-old Rosenman's
Flowers in Oak Park ... and Ceil-
Stocker closed her Berkley Flowers —
Creations by Ceil operations ... doesn't
mean that they are retired.
Not even close to it ... Working with
Rena Himes, present owner of
Rosenman Flowers with partner Andy
Petrone, they are still among the top
"old timer" floral designers around ...
and number a combined 126 years in
the flower business ... With Andy's
eight years, it comes to 134, a sizzling
total of know-how experience years.
Rena had Art of Flowers and Andy, the
"baby" among old timers, owned
Brandy's Too when they merged to buy
Rosenman's from Bill ... on Coolidge, a
