Yeshivas Darchei Torah will sponsor
the Summer Food Service program
for children. Free meals will be
made available to children 18 years
of age and under or persons up to
age 26 who are enrolled in an edu-
cational program for the mentally
or physically challenged if the pro-
gram is recognized by a state or
local public educational agency.
The meals will be provided with-
out regard to race, color, national
origin, age, sex or disability. Meals
will be provided from Monday, July
1, through Friday, July 26, at
Yeshivas Darchei Torah, 21550 W.
12 Mile Road, Southfield.
Lunch will be served from noon-
1:30 p.m.; and a snack will be
served from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

67th president of the Temple Beth
El Brotherhood. He is a former
member of the brotherhood nomi-
nating committee and a former
brotherhood vice president.

Tisha B'Av
Services Set

Adat Shalom Synagogue will
hold services for Tisha b'Av at 9
p.m. Wednesday, July 17, and
at 7 a.m. Thursday, July 18.
Tisha b'Av marks the
anniversary of the destruction
of the first and second temples,
the exile of the Jews from Spain
and many other tragedies in
Jewish history. On Saturday
evening, the Book of Eicha
(Lamentations) will be chanted
by members of the Adat Shalom
clergy, and adult and teenaged
members of the congregation.
There will be special readings to
emphasize the theme of the day.
Participating in the services
will be Rabbi Daniel Nevins,
Rabbi Herbert A. Yoskowitz,
Cantor Howard Glantz, Cantor
Larry Vieder, Jonathan Blatt,
Paul Magy, Saul Rose and Elliot
Solomon.
There will be no 6 p.m. serv-
ice at Adat Shalom that
evening.
