wedding took place in Washington,
D.C.
Dr. Berger earned his bachelor's
degree in science at the University of
Michigan and Dr. Levine earned her
bachelor's degree at Haverford College
in Haverford, Pa. They went on to
complete their medical degrees at the
University of Rochester and are med-
ical residents in New York City.

Cantor Harold Orbach officiated.
Renee is the daughter of Ruth Ross
of Huntington Woods and the late
Herbert Ross. Steve is the son of Janet
Penney of West Bloomfield and
Richard Penney of Gaylord.
Renee's daughters, Hannah and
Emily Engelson, served as brides-
maids. Among the other attendees
were Renee's brother, Edgar Ross, and
his wife, Nanette; her aunt and uncle
Doris and Robert Singer; cousin Irene
Beschle from Switzerland; Steve's step-
mother, Judith Penney; his mother's
friend, Tom Fritchek; his sister, Linda
Redman; nephew David; and his aunt
Margaret from Nebraska.
The couple honeymooned on Lake
Michigan and reside in Birmingham.
