us who felt a need to be with them. They hugged us and embraced us, thereby giving more of themselves than any of us had a right to expect. While trying to be of comfort to them, they displayed strength and courage that we were able to draw from as we waited for word that Zach had been found. The most difficult task ahead is that of life back to "normal." For so many, a "new normal" is now being estab- lished. Where we can do nothing to change this new normal, we can change how we respond to it. What a fitting tribute to Zach if rela- tionships could be enhanced and strengthened. If Zach's friends took a moment to assess any behavior poten- tially placing them in harm's way, then Zach's life will carry special meaning as they pursue future goals and objectives. And in Zach's name, if we take as an example the unselfish acts of chesed (kindness) performed by strangers on behalf of Zach and his family and apply them in our daily lives, then Zach's memory and legacy will forever be a blessing. ❑ — The obituary of Zachary Edelson appears on page 129. The autopsy revealed that Jandoubi was wearing two pairs of trousers and four pairs of under- pants; the coroner said that is what is worn by "Islamic militants going into battle or on suicide missions." Also, the chemical plant was pro- cessing ammonium nitrate, a stable chemical that requires a substantial infusion of energy to explode. Ignoring these signs, the French authorities declared there was "no shred of evidence" of the explosion being a terrorist act and ruled it an accident. They even prosecuted two publications merely for calling Jandoubi a "radical Islamist," mak- ing them pay tens of thousands of dollars in fines to Jandoubi's heirs, a mosque and a Muslim organization for their "defamation" of Jandoubi. Work dispute, hate crime, road rage, derangement, post-traumatic stress, industrial accident ... these expressions of denial obstruct effec- tive counter-terrorism. The time has come for governments to catch up with the rest of us and call terrorism by its rightful name. 111 MENT LIFESTYLE WITH FEWER CHORES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND MORE TIME TO DO WHAT YOU LOVE BEST.
